Start Lines, Buses & Parking.
Yes, all runners MUST take a bus to the start line for both races. Runner safety is our top concern, and therefore no parking or drop off will be allowed at either start line. Bus shuttles are free and for runners only.
Yes. You can get the bus from either location according to the schedule.
If you miss the bus, there is no other transportation available to the start lines.
Insider Tip: The earlier buses will have shorter wait times. Don't wait until the last minute!
Your registration for the Wineglass Marathon and Half-Marathon is non-refundable and non-transferable. However, if you have registered but cannot participate, you may choose to defer your entry to 2027. Deferrals will open on July 15, 2026, and remain open until sold out or September 1, 2026, whichever occurs first. A limited number of deferrals will be available.
Please read our full policy here on the Wineglass Marathon website.
Your registration for the Guthrie Wineglass Marathon or Half Marathon is non-refundable. However, if you have registered but wish to transfer or switch by “upgrading” or “downgrading,” you may do so by logging into your RunSignUp account and going to Profile > My Registered Races > Manage Registration > Transfer Event. The transfer fee is $40. You will also be charged for the difference between what you originally paid and the current cost of the new registration. If the race you want to transfer to has been filled, you may request to transfer using the waitlist by following the instructions outlined HERE. Transfers from the half and full marathons to the Williams Toyota Wineglass 5K are not allowed.
Buildings at both the full and half starts will be opened for runners to wait. At the half start, the Campbell-Savona High School gym is open for runners to wait. Buildings for shelter are more limited at the start of the full, so please plan accordingly. Ample porta-johns are available at both start areas.
Yes, but we will only accept the clear gear check bags provided to you in your swag bag at the Expo! All items you wish to check must be in these bags. Gear Bag Trucks will be at each start line. Gear Check will NOT accept any other bags, boxes, luggage, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS. Write your bib number on your clear gear bag with a Sharpie and tie your bag. Volunteers will have extra clear gear bags at the start lines in case you forget to bring your bag.
After the race you'll be able to pick up your bag from the Gear Bag Trucks at the eastern most point of Market Street (near the Radisson), just past our merchandise and stretch tents. You must show your bib to pick up your bag.
You will not be allowed to board the bus with a backpack or other large bag. Hydration packs or Hydration vests are allowed but subject to search. Please plan accordingly!
On the Wineglass course.
We offer runner tracking through RTRT.me.
Spectator viewing areas can be found in our Race Program and on our website under Spectator Map in our Marathon and Half Marathon tabs.
The Wineglass Race Series strongly discourages the wearing of music devices. Participants must be alert to their surroundings and able to hear medical emergency vehicles, buses, official marathon vehicles and the Wineglass bike support team. For your safety, and the safety of those around you, we strongly urge you to run headphone-free.
No strollers are allowed on the course for the half or the full. If you wish to run pushing a Team Hoyt or Ainsley's Angels running chair, you must receive prior approval from the race director.
No. The only bikers allowed on the course are those authorized by Wineglass organizers and local law enforcement. The authorized bikers will be leading runners, moving runners to the side, if needed, and providing necessary support. Unauthorized bikers will be asked to leave the course.
Half marathoners will have 7 hours to finish. Full marathoners will have 6 1/2 hours to finish. Full marathoners must reach the mid-point of the course by 3 hours, 15 minutes (Campbell-Savona High School). As both the half and the full marathons are point to point races on the same course, length of time to finish is dictated by when the whole course closes.
While we understand that you'd love to share your achievement with your children (canine ones as well) alongside, for the safety of all, we are not allowing anyone without a bib on this part of the course. Our finish line area (including our Food Tent area) must be restricted so that we can keep it secure, and our medical staff can effectively access and treat runners. We appreciate your cooperation.
If you need to drop out and it is NOT a medical emergency, please make your way to the nearest water station or medical aid station. All stations are staffed with volunteer ham radio operators. They will ensure a sweep bus is called to pick you up and deliver you to the Transportation Center (85 Denison Parkway) located near the finish line. If you have a medical emergency that prohibits you from making your way to the nearest water station or medical aid station for a sweep bus, an ambulance will be called. Please make sure your family knows that you have dropped out of the race.
Please make sure you fill out the back of your bib and inform your Family/Friends of your bib number as well as predicted finishing time.
Five medical aid stations are located on the course as well as one at the finish. Medical volunteers will be wearing red medical T-shirts. Medical volunteers and supplies will be available at each station. Most runners who seek medical attention are able to complete the race safely.
If you have any serious allergies, (e.g. bee stings), or have medical conditions which could affect your treatment from medical personnel, you should carry this information with you during the race. You should also print any allergies or health conditions on the back of your race number with a permanent marker. Everyone should print their emergency contact person’s name and number on the back of their race bib in the upper corner, above the timing device. Emergencies can occur!
Please make sure you fill out the back of your bib and inform your Family/Friends of your bib number as well as predicted finishing time.
