FAQs

What is included in my registration?
In addition to your collectible technical race t-shirt, you’ll receive a race bib with a timing chip, an invitation to the post-race party and two drink tickets to exchange for beverages provided by Cambridge Brewing Company. 

Is the Winter Classic 5K open to all ages?
Yes! We have no age restriction on registration. If your young ones are comfortable with the 3.1 miles, sign them up to run along with you!

How do I know if I am registered?
After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email from RunSignUp.com. You can also search for your registration on our Find A Participant page.

Can I transfer my race number to another person?
Yes! You can transfer your bib to another person up until packet pick up hours are over. The person you are transferring the bib to will only have to pay a small $20 transfer fee. Find out how here.

Can I run with my dog?
For the safety of all runners, we do not allow animals on the race course. 

Can I run with a stroller?
Yes! We are happy to have you & your little one join us on the race course. We kindly ask that you line up at the back of the starting line for the safety of all runners. 

How do I get my bib and swag?
Packet pickup will be available in Cambridge, MA at the times listed below:
Saturday, December 3rd from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM @ LaFabrica Central Restaurant, 450 Mass Ave. 
Sunday, December 4th (race day) starting at 8AM @ University Park Commons, 65 Sidney Street
We strongly suggest you pick up your gear on Saturday to avoid the lines on race day. 

Can someone pick up my bib for me?
Yes. They will need to know your bib number.

Can you mail my race swag?
All race items must be picked up during bib pick-up hours before the race.

Is there a bag check?
Yes. You can drop your bag in the fenced-off area before you proceed to the start line. Do not leave valuables behind. All bags are subject to search by the City of Cambridge Police. Please remember to pick up your bag immediately after you finish running. Bag check closes at 10:30AM. 

Is there a course time limit?
Yes. Participants have one hour to complete the race.

Is the race timed?
Yes. The Winter Classic 5K is timed utilizing Mylaps BibTag technology. Timing chips are on the back of the race numbers. You will get them at packet pick up. Results will be calculated based on net time.

Do you allow refunds?
All entries are final. There will be no refunds or deferrals. 

Can I create or join a team after I have registered?
You can create or join a team until the team deadline on November 27th at midnight. Here are the steps you can follow to make the change.

Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School Girls and Boys Track Team

Is the race accessible by public transportation?
Yes, take the MBTA Red Line to Central Station.

How do I volunteer?
Volunteer registration is open. Click the Volunteer tab at the top of the page to see available shifts. 

Where should I park on race day?
There is plenty of free on-street parking in areas surrounding the start of the race. Meters are off on Sunday. Please get to the event early if you plan to park. There is also plenty of parking available at the Green Street Garage and the Pearl Street Garage.

Is the course USATF certified?
Yes, the course will be certified before race day.

Will there be a water stop?
There are no water stops along the course. Bottled water is available at the finish line.
