RACE POLICIES

Refund Policy

In the event that you are unable to participate in one of our races, you have two options, deferral or bib transfer.  Both kind of transfers are done automatically online through our registration company, RunSignUp.com.  This option is only available up until the time that online registration closes.  We do not offer refunds.

Deferrals

Defer your entry to the same race in the following year.  Please note that requests for deferral must be sent before close of online registration. Since the vast majority of race costs are incurred prior to a race and are non-refundable, we do not issue refunds for races. ​You can defer your race entry to the next year if you can’t make it. You cannot defer the same race entry two years in a row.  If you’d like to defer a race, please use the below instructions.  The cost to defer your registration is $15.  There are NO deferrals once registration closes online. No exceptions.

Bib Transfers

You may transfer your bib to another person. This costs $10 and is paid online through RunSignUp.com by the person taking over the bib.  Bib transfers can be done online up until online registration closes. There are no bib transfers once online registration closes.  You will NOT be issued a refund when transferring your bib to another person.  

Changing Distances

You may switch distances on race day BUT you MUST notify us before the start.  Switching races without notifying the timer causes error in the results and delay the awards. There is no fee to downgrade a distance. To change to a longer distance, be prepared to pay the difference in registration fees.  PLEASE NOTE: Do not switch distances without notifying us.  

Awards Policy

The top overall finishers and overall masters in each distance, male and female.

We also have age group awards as well, for the top three finishers in each age group.  Age group increments vary from race to race, but are generally 5 or 10 year increments.  Participants should check their results at the results booth after running to see if they have placed in their age group.  If they are in the top three, they can pick up their award at the timing booth. 

Please note that awards are doubled up for the top overall finishers and age group winners–i.e. if you were 1st overall and 1st in your age group, then you get both prizes.  Awards are only available for pickup at the race at the timing booth. We do not mail out awards after a race.  We urge you to check your results before leaving to see if you placed and to collect your award.

Packet Pickup

If you are unable to attend a race, but would still like to get your shirt, we recommend that you send a friend or family member to the race to pick them up.  We do not offer pickup services or delivery by mail of race swag.

Shirt Exchanges

We allow shirt exchanges at all our races, after the race only. There are no shirt exchanges prior to the race.  If you’d like to exchange your shirt, please don’t run in it, and bring it to the registration table  where we can exchange it for your desired size.  We cannot guarantee that we will have the desired size but generally we have extra shirts.

Guaranteed Shirt Size

To guarantee you receive a finisher's shirt, you must register before June 12, 2020.  Please check in at the registration table after the race to see if there are extra shirts.  

Discounts and Coupons

Discounts and coupons are not applicable to previously purchased registrations.  Please do not ask to be refunded a discount amount after you have already registered.  Any discounts offered are not able to be used retroactively and cannot be combined with any offer. Valid for runners not yet registered to our event.

RUNNER SAFETY:  

Please obey all traffic laws if the road is not closed to traffic.  DO NOT RUN IN THE ROAD IF THE ROAD IS NOT CLOSED TO TRAFFIC.  

If you are wearing headphones, please keep your volume low enough to hear traffic as well as any directions from course marshals.  Please be aware of your surroundings and obey any directions from course marshals and/or law enforcement.  

Dogs and strollers are NOT allowed on the course.
