Packet Pick will occur at three locations on Tuesday, November 25 and Wednesday, November 26 at the following locations:
- Pacers Running (Georgetown: 1079 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC) - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Pacers Running (Clarendon: 3100 Clarendon Boulevard, Arlington, VA) - 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Conrad Hotel (Downtown DC: 950 New York Avenue NW, Washington, DC) - 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Please note: If you do not pick up your bib and shirt prior to race day, you will only be able to get your shirt after 9 AM on race day.
Yes. Please have a note, email or text stating you are approved to pick up for your friend or family member(s).
Bib pick-up opens at 6:30 am on race morning on Freedom Plaza. If you are picking up your bib on race morning, you will not be able to pick up your shirt until 9:00 am on race day.
If you attend one of the packet pick-ups before race day, you will receive your bib and your shirt.
There is no race day registration onsite. But don't worry, you'll be able to register quickly on your phone, grab your bib on Freedom Plaza, and be ready to hit the asphalt! QR codes will be stationed around Freedom Plaza for your convenience.
Check the weather the night before the race and before you leave your home, and dress appropriately for a great experience!
There are many racers and family members who come in costumes and turkey-approved, family-friendly attire! Have fun with your outfit (but do please keep it appropriate!). We will have various SWAG items available on Race Day and online so stay tuned!
The start and finish lines are on Pennsylvania Avenue between 12th St NW and 13th St NW.
Yes! We are offering a virtual 5k that can be completed anytime and anywhere. Registration for the virtual race are available on this website.is
The goal of participating virtually or with us in person remains the same: to create awareness and raise funds to help benefit those in need by providing much-needed food, housing, access to healthcare, employment training, and long-term comprehensive addiction treatment programs. We encourage you to join us in-person or virtually for this mission!
All walkers and runners who have not completed the race by 10:15 AM will be moved off the course and onto the sidewalks. The Finish Line will close at 10:30 AM.
There are no water stops on the course. There will be water at the Finish Line. Please only take one bottle per participant so all participants have ample hydration!
Yes! Bag check will be located on Freedom Plaza. Please write your bib number on your bags prior to arrival to ensure a smooth experience for quick bag check and pick-up!
Porta-potties will be located on the east end of Freedom Plaza between E St NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. There are no porta-potties on the course.
All registered participants receive a t-shirt. Medals will be given out for the Little Turkey 1-Miler.
Yes! The Trot for Hunger is a family-friendly event. We welcome all ages (and four-legged friends) to participate. Load up your strollers with snacks, water, and excitement to enjoy DC's only Trot on Thanksgiving Day!
We kindly ask that you line up behind the runners so that they are not blocked from meeting their race goals.
Yes! We welcome our furry friends to participate in the Trot and compete in our Best Dressed Turkey Costume Contest!
Get that playlist (and camera) ready for your walk or run at DC's only Trot on Thanksgiving Day.
If you choose to use headphones, please run - or walk - responsibly and remain aware of your surroundings at all times.
We suggest taking public transportation. Parking is limited in downtown DC. SpotHero is a great App to check for nearby and cost-effective parking options.
