Event Director
The Hip Hop 5K's event director, Taylor Kulpa, herself battles with hip dysplasia and knows the physical, mental, and financial struggles that go into the diagnosis of HD. She has been through 10 major surgeries for the treatment of hip dysplasia since 2013 including bilateral periacetabular osteotomies and a left total hip replacement at the age of 24. She knows better than anyone how much more funding is needed for the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) to continue their research to better the current surgical and non-surgical treatment options for infants and adults. This is something near and dear to her heart that she will battle for a lifetime. She hopes that you can come out on race day and take part in the fight against hip dysplasia.
