Paris-Bourbon County YMCA Hillcroft Farm Hoof-it 5K Run/Walk

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  At Hillcroft Farm at 283 Tarr Road, Paris, KY 40361.
2. What time does the race start?  The 5K Run/Walk will start at 6:00 pm. The Fun Walk will start immediately following the 5K.
3. What time should I arrive?  The gates to the farm will open at 4:30 PM.  If you need to pick up your race number, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking will be available on the farm property.  There will be directional signage and/or volunteers to direct you once you are on the farm. 
5. Are there any restrictions at the race venue? Yes!  Smoking is not permitted on the farm. Children 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on farm property. 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will be available through race day. Please register before leaving for the race.
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes. Online registration will be available through race day. Please register before leaving for the race.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your 5K Run/Walk registration fee includes your race number including race timing and a race shirt.  The Fun Walk participants will receive a race shirt, but the event is not timed so a race number is not necessary.
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes! The benefiting charity this year is the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA.
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. Registration fees are non-refundable.
6. Can I transfer my registration to a friend? Sorry, race registrations are non-transferable. 
7. What if there is severe weather? If the forecast shows potential severe weather, you will receive a notice by 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 3rd. A final decision will be made by noon on Friday, April 4th, and you will be alerted via e-mail regarding the status of the race. The race start time will not be delayed past 6:00 pm on race day. If cancellation is necessary, the race will not be rescheduled.
8. Should I register my young children? Small children that can't run or walk the 5K or Fun Walk independently need not be registered. Only registered participants will receive a race shirt.

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race shirt and race number?  You can pick up your race number and shirt at the Paris-Bourbon County YMCA located at 917 Main Street, Paris, KY 40361 on Thursday, April 3rd between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, and Friday, April 4th (race day) between 9:00 AM and noon. You can also pick it up on race day at the farm starting at 4:30 PM. 
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click here to view the course maps. The Fun Walk course is TBD at this time.
3. Is the course totally on grass surfaces?  Yes! The course is on the roads of the farm property.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Pushing a stroller on this course is permitted, but please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome in either event.
6. Can I bring my dog?  No. Dogs/pets are not permitted on farm property. 
7. Are there other restrictions? Yes. Smoking is not permitted on the farm. Children 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on the property.  

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes, the 5K Run/Walk event will be "chip" timed. 
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Yes, there will be awards following the race. Overall and age group finishers awards will be presented.
3. What are the age divisions? There is an award for overall male and overall female. There are also awards for the top male and top female in the following age divisions: 12 & under, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over.
