FAQ
The Race for Campus Safety supports the Lauren McCluskey Foundation's mission to improve the response to relationship violence and stalking on college campuses. Proceeds from the race help fund programs like free self-defense classes for women and girls, documentary screenings and educational events, therapy services for victims and survivors, Lauren's Promise ("I will listen and believe you if you are being threatened"), and the development of tools and resources that help create safer college campuses.
Packet pickup details will be emailed to all registered participants in the weeks leading up to the event. As in previous years, participants will have the option to pick up their race packet either the day before the race or on race morning. Packet pickup will be hosted by Steve Larsen DDS in Pullman, with final dates, times, and instructions included in pre-race communications.
Yes, dogs are welcome at the race and festival. We just ask that pets remain leashed and under control at all times so everyone can enjoy the event safely.
Absolutely! Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. Whether you plan to run, jog, or walk, the Race for Campus Safety is designed to be a community event. We've had participants ranging from toddlers to adults past age 80, and there is no minimum or maximum age to participate. If you're looking for a shorter, more relaxed option, the 1K is a great choice for walkers and families.
If you’re unable to finish the race for any reason, try to make your way to the nearest aid station. If you cannot make your way to the nearest aid station call 801-585-2677 to reach public safety dispatch.
