Put on your running shoes and prepare for the 22nd Annual Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash to benefit the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and the Carrie Foresee Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Before the race, make sure to stop and get your race packet at these locations:
Friday, Oct. 12, noon to 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.
Each 5K participant will be assigned a specific bib number with attached timing chip. The bib is to be worn on the front of the participant's shirt. The disposable bib number/chip system is extremely accurate and will quickly provide race results.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner and to the top three male and female winners in the following age divisions:
Up to 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
Kids Dash for children up to 6th grade begins on the track at the conclusion of the 5K Run/Walk (typically between 8:45 and 9 a.m.). Children will run in groups with like-age kids. The oldest children will run approximately 200 meters (half lap). The youngest children will run approximately 50 meters. All participants will receive a participation ribbon.
