Description

Join us for the 25th Annual Race for the Future 5K Run/Walk and Kids Dash to benefit the Lee's Summit Educational Foundation and the Carrie Foresee Memorial Scholarship.  We're SO excited to bring Race for the Future back in person this year! Join us on Saturday, October 9 at 8:00 a.m. to run or walk a 5K course, beginning at the Lee's Summit West Activity Complex. Sign up by September 21 to guarantee a t-shirt on Race day! Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, October 8 from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Stansberry Leadership Center located at 301 NE Tudor Road, Lee's Summit, MO. You may also pick up your packet the morning of the race at the Lee's Summit West High School Activity Complex.

Can't make it, or would rather sleep in? You can still participate as a Dream Partner / Virtual Participant! Dream Partners will receive a shirt, and can snooze while our runners and walkers cruise! Join us as a Virtual Participant and run or walk from any location you choose! You can run, jog or walk on the road, a trail, treadmill, track, your neighborhood - anywhere! Set your own pace, time it and report your steps back here! With your registration, you'll receive a t-shirt and a link to record your steps.

 

Kids Dash for children up to 6th grade begins on the track at the conclusion of the 5K Run/Walk (typically between 8:45 and 9 a.m.). Children will run in groups with like-age kids. The oldest children will run approximately 200 meters (half lap). The youngest children will run approximately 50 meters. All participants will receive a participation ribbon.
