The 3rd Annual Nashville, TN Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in celebration of Ostomy Awareness Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

Register by September 13th, and you'll not only save 20% of your registration fee, but your name will be entered into a drawing to receive a Certificate for 4 weeks of unlimited workouts with a personal trainer from Camp Gladiator! The registration fee for those registering after September 13th or during the packet-pick-up times below is $33 for Adults and $12 for Children 14 and under.
NEW Location! This timed 5K race and 1 mile Children's Fun Run will be held at Shelby Park located at Shelby Avenue & S. 20th Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. With over 336 acres of land, and celebrating its 100th year anniversary, Shelby Park is a large urban park located approximately three miles east of downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. The park includes playgrounds, a dog park, baseball fields, two golf courses, and a community center.
The course for this 5K begins at the Riverview Shelter, loops around Sevier Lake and extends into Shelby Bottoms Greenway.
The exact route map will be included in your registration packets. This course is timed, so Go For It!
There is ample free parking for up to 1,000 cars and free admission to Shelby Park and Shelby Park Community Center.
Pre-race Packet Pick-up: Brentwood location of Fleet Feet, 330 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN 37027 from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. Sign-up will be available at Packet Pick-up and morning of the Run until 7:30 a.m.
Day-of packet pickup will be from 7:00-7:30 a.m. on October 12th at the race site.
Please note the Registration Fee to register during the packet-pick-up times above is $33 for Adults and $12 for Children 14 and under.
Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, top M/F in each age group, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates.
A unisex, female v-neck or youth size Race T-Shirt and race bib are included with your registration fee. To ensure you receive the T-Shirt size you ordered, please register by Friday, September 13th. We will do our best to provide you with the T-Shirt size you ordered or a similar size, however, this is not guaranteed after September 13th.
OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH
Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.
Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.
We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATION link at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.
