General Questions

Is this a famiy event?

Yes! There is pool & air hockey, arcades & video games, checkers, chess, board games, and plenty of space for your kiddos to let loose. 

 

Can we bring our dog?

Yes! Megaton is pet friendly. 

 

Will there be other food available beside chili? 

Yes! We will have a concession stand with hot dogs and various other goodies. 

 

What's the schedule? 

12:00-4:00 - Come and go as you like. Votes will be counted and silent auction will end at 3:45.  Winners will be announced at 4:00pm.  

 

Is this event outdoors or in? 

Both! The outdoor area is covered and has space heaters so you should be comfortable no matter where you choose to kick back and relax. 

 

Cook Team Questions

 

I want to enter my famous chili in the cookoff, what do I need to provide?

Your chili! Pre-cooked and inside a warmer of some kind and an extension cord. HOW MUCH? That's a great question and since this is our inaugural cook off we'll give you our best guess! Please bring enough to give a small sample to around 150 people.  We anticipate needing somewhere around 12-15 quarts.  A large roaster oven,  stockpot slow cooker, or a couple of smaller crock pots would all work nicely. 

 

What will Addi's Faith Foundation provide? 

AFF will have your booth space ready with a table and chairs along with: tasting cups, spoons, a 3oz serving ladle and napkins.  Yes! Your space will have electricity available. 

 

Do I need a canopy or pop up?

No. The outdoor area has deck flooring and is covered. There are space heaters available if needed. We encourage you to add a little "spice" by jazzing up your table/area. Not a requirement...just a little added fun. 

 

What does my entry fee include?

Each cook team will get 2 wristbands, 2 beer tokens, and one custom Addi's Chili Cookoff apron. It also includes that warm fuzzy feeling you get knowing you've supported the fight agaist childhood cancer.  PLEASE NOTE: Price will increase to $150 after 2/19 so register soon! 

 

What could I win? 

A $250 cash prize and bragging rights as the first ever Addi's Chili Cookoff WINNER!!!  Get creative with you team name and/or booth decor and you just might win some extra accolades!
