Event Description

Join us for a look at black bears and learn more about these icons of the forest. Bears are abundant across the Northwoods and regularly share space with people who both live and play across the region, occasionally resulting in conflicts. This talk will provide an ecological overview of bears in our state along with some real world advice on how to live responsibly with bears and keep bears wild!

Randy Johnson is the large carnivore specialist for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and leads the DNR’s statewide bear, wolf and cougar management programs.
