Event Description
Join us for the second Detroit Dirt Collective group run of 2026 at Island Lake Rec Area in Brighton. 5.7 mile Yellow Mountain Bike Loop. It's a nice progression from the April run at Maybury. Longer, but only around 250' of climbing. More technical trails, but very manageable. All paces and experience levels welcome.

Park Address: 6301 Kensington Rd, Brighton, MI 48116
This takes you to the park entrance. Once you pass by the State Park HQ booth, make a Right onto State Pkwy, cross Kensington Road, keep following it another 1 mile until you see a sign on your Right that says "Blue/Yellow Trail Mountain Bike Access." Turn Right.
Don't forget this is a State Park, so you have to have the Recreation Passport.
There are two vault toilets near the trailhead.

Runners need to be prepared to navigate the course through Garmin or AllTrails. We’ll have group leaders, but we can’t guarantee we’ll have one that’s going your pace.
