YOU ARE INVITED to the Maryland Premiere of LOVING JOHN, a loving cinematic portrait of JOHN GODINET!

Please join us at the premier gala and screening of this moving documentary, directed and produced by Peabody Award-winning documentarian Robert (Rob) Rooy. LOVING JOHN features our dear friends John Godinet, his husband Peter Dare, and other close friends and family members as they support John's battle with ALS.

Anyone who has lost a friend or loved one to ALS or any other degenerative disease will be profoundly touched by this poignant, made-for-PBS film.

The Gala and Premiere will take place on Saturday, September 6th from 6:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. at the Dance Unlimited Studios at the Performing Arts Factory, 244 South Jefferson St., Frederick Maryland.

Schedule of Events:

1. 1. 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. - Happy Hour and Mixer (soft drinks, beer & wine included in ticket price)
   2. 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. - Buffet-Style Dinner (provided by our good friends at Modern Asia)
   3. 7:45 P.M. - Introductions and remarks by the filmmaker and production crew
   4. 8:00 to 9:20 P.M. - The feature-length Premiere of Loving John is introduced to the world
   5. 9:25 to 9:40 - Q & A with the production crew and film's principals

 Dress code for this Premiere and Gala is business casual — though we also encourage you to “Dress like John” if you like — in a tuxedo or ball gown, or something “funky” like mis-matched socks or a crazy hat!

Can't join us at the in-person Premiere and Gala? Not to worry! You can purchase a "Virtual Premiere Ticket" and you'll receive a link which will allow you to watch the full feature-length film from the comfort of your own personal device starting at 8:00 P.M. on September 6th. You'll have through the next Sunday, September 21st, to watch the film as many times as you'd like.  

All proceeds from this event will be used to promote LOVING JOHN prior to its broadcast on PBS, and to underwrite the film's premiere in John's homeland, American Samoa. Additional donations are gratefully accepted.
