Back by popular demand! Join PCS as we wrap up 2026 with a fun and flavorful Virtual Beer Tasting Event. Enjoy seasonal brews from Balance Brewing Company, learn about the latest in sarcoma research, and hear inspiring survivor stories.

🚚 Delivery & Shipping Info:
Event kits will be delivered to homes within 20 miles of downtown Pittsburgh.
If you're outside the delivery area, choose the shipping option (available within Pennsylvania only).
We will arrange delivery to Erie, PA, and West Virginia University.
If you live outside the delivery or shipping area, email us at info@pghcuresarcoma.org to discuss other arrangements.

Ben Nacev, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Medicine and Section Chief of Sarcoma Medical Oncology UPMC
Dr. Ben Nacev is a physician-scientist specializing in sarcoma medical oncology and chromatin dysregulation in cancer. He earned his MD/PhD from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, researching drug repurposing for angiogenesis inhibition. He completed his internal medicine training with the Osler Medical Residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a Medical Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he was co-Chief Fellow and a clinical faculty member. In parallel, Dr. Nacev completed postdoctoral training at The Rockefeller University, investigating cancer-associated histone mutations known as oncohistones. A Damon Runyon Clinical Investigator, he treats adult sarcoma patients, a clinical practice that directly inspires his laboratory research. Outside of work, he enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors, believing a well-rounded life enhances both scientific discovery and patient care.
Matt Gibb
CO-FOUNDER, HEAD BREWER Balance Brewing Co.
Matt is Head Brewer and Co-Founder at Balance. With over a decade of industry experience he has brewed on 5 gallon up to 100-barrel systems covering a variety of American and European beer styles. While he's no stranger to hoppy IPA's and fruited Sour beers, you'll likely find him enjoying a mug of crisp House Lager after a long brew day. When he's not wrangling brewing hoses or shoveling spent grain into bins, he and his partner Andrea enjoy traveling to new places in search of great food, drink and hiking adventures!
