PSDC Fall Brook Fall Campout 2026
Training Campout and Fall General Membership Meeting

Come join us for a weekend of training and companionship.

There is a 2.5-mile scenic course through wooded, grassy trails. There are several hills
throughout the course, some with a longer climb than others. The Trail is directly off the
camping area and will bring teams out to old rail trail along the Genesee River that
connects back into the fields directly east completing a loop back to the
camping/parking area.

    • Between Mt. Morris and Geneseo on Route 63 between exits 8 and 7 off 390
    • Go west towards the river from 63 on Jones Bridge Road at the Indian Fort Nature Preserve.

• Camping:
  • $15/night; No water, no electricity.
• Non -Campers weekend pass:
  • $10 each day

• Speaker:
  • Roy Smith and/or Ron Smith with line-making clinic

• Pet-friendly hotels:
  • In Geneseo: Quality Inn and Hampton Inn 3.7 miles
  • In Mt. Morris: Country Inn by Raddison 4.9 miles
  • Allegiance Bed and Breakfast 4.5 miles 

• Schedule:
  • Friday night:
    • Haunted House: Survive the Sanatarium
      • 2 Groups: 
        • 6:45 Group 1
        • 9:45 Group 2
          ○ Fee: $15.
          • This is 5 miles away.
            ○ We will make sure enough people will remain at the site to keep an eye on the dogs.
  • Saturday:
    • Sunrise to 10 am open training
    • 10 am Hopscotch/ leapfrog exercise
    • Noon: Lunch on own (we could order and bring in..? )
    • 1:00-2:30 PSDC Meeting
      • A reminder that PSDC members must attend at least one general
        membership meeting (fall or spring meeting) in order to be eligible to vote
        in the spring elections.

    • 4:30 Hike to falls approx 2 miles round trip
      • Water- tolerant footwear suggested.
    • 6:30 Potluck dinner (sunset)
  • Sunday:
    • Sunrise to 10 am training, Testing timing options.
      • Fill in holes, pick up after pups and yourself.

Our host is Shannon Chanler who has graciously encouraged us to use this site. Part of
the camp fee will go towards the farm.
