Grab a pumpkin, pick up a paintbrush, and join us for some purple-powered fun!
Join the Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County for a special Purple Pumpkin Project Creativity & Connection event at our new home in Liberty Station!
Purple pumpkin painting takes center stage! Choose a pumpkin, grab some paint, and make it your own as we fill Liberty Station with purple—the color of epilepsy awareness. Each purple pumpkin helps spark conversation, raise awareness, and show support for people and families affected by epilepsy.
There’s something for everyone! Along with pumpkin painting, enjoy creative activities for kids, teens, and adults, plus lunch, drinks, and plenty of time to relax, have fun, and connect with others in the community.
Whether epilepsy is part of your family’s story or you simply want to show your support, everyone is welcome.
Come create, connect, and take home a one-of-a-kind purple pumpkin with a purpose!

Why a purple pumpkin?
The Purple Pumpkin Project began with a simple idea: What if painting a pumpkin purple could get people talking about epilepsy?
Purple is the color of epilepsy awareness, and a purple pumpkin displayed during the fall season can help spark conversations, raise awareness, and remind our community that epilepsy affects millions of people and families. What started as one person painting a pumpkin purple has grown into a meaningful way for communities to show support for people living with epilepsy.
