Cheer Zone Information
Have you ever heard of or experienced the Wellesley College Cheer Zone at the Boston Marathon? It is unbelievably loud and exciting for runners! Twin City Track Club plans to bring that same level of energy to a TCTC Cheer Zone on the Mistletoe Half Marathon course on December 2.
The TCTC Cheer Station will be located next the Dennis McNeil water fountain on the road between Reynolda Gardens and the Reynolda House. This is also the location of one of the most difficult hill climbs in the course when runners are beginning to feel race fatigue near the 9 mile mark of the race. We will provide music, bull horns, bells and other noise makers. Cheer Zone volunteers are encouraged to bring signs and other noise makers to encourage the runners. The Cheer Zone will operate from 8:20am until 10:30am on race day.

Race Day Info
Park in the Reynolda Village parking lot and arrive no later than 8:15am, earlier if you can help with the set up. The Cheer Zone will be located up the hill that runs from Reynolda Village to the Reynolda House area. You should expect the first runners to pass by around 8:25-8:30am on their way to the Wake Forest Campus. The last runners should pass by on their return from the Wake Forest Campus around 10:30am.
TCTC Race Team
Planing to run the 5K or Half Marathon! Great! Join the Twin City Track Club Team. Even better if you wear your TCTC branded apparel on race day!
Other Volunteer Roles
Race Pacers - TCTC will be providing pacers for various pace groups in the Half Marathon. Contact Colleen Sands for more information at activities2@twincitytc.org.
