Gurmukh Khalsa
For the past 54 years, Gurmukh has been blessed to serve as a Teacher of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation, as taught by Yogi Bhajan. Gurmukh and her husband Gurushabd travel the world over… teaching, serving, healing, and helping wherever needed. When they are not out on the road, they are living in Taos, New Mexico, USA; Tulum, México; and Rishikesh, India. They are enjoying life with their beloved daughter Wah and grandson Sai Nakin Rose who often travel and teach together with them in Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in India and the Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training globally.
Gurmukh loves to share the Teachings through Teacher Trainings to create more Kundalini Yoga Teachers. She loves to join community together in whatever country she is in through fundraisers to support children, indigenous families and communities, and orphanages throughout the world. This is what makes her heart the happiest.
We keep teaching and healing to help humanity have tools to bring them into a consciousness with a foundation to be healthy, happy, and whole. We will find you somewhere soon. We will chant, pray, dance, and share food in laughter and light. We will know and live the most important reason to be alive: to love and to be loved.

Aura Garver
I was raised in the mountains of Northern New Mexico and have been an athlete all my life. I was a champion collegiate High Jumper for the University of New Mexico and went on to compete in volleyball, triathlons, cycling and running as an adult. Helping others become fit and expand their own physical horizons was a natural progression from my own exercise background. I use my extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure safety and efficacy. I also believe fitness can (and should) be fun and functional. Regardless of whether I am coaching young athletes or guiding mature clients in functional fitness for life, I believe in taking responsibility for our own wellbeing. I believe in moving our bodies with a mindset of curiosity, compassion, and positive reinforcement. If we understand our own inner workings, and feel strong and comfortable in our bodies, we can feel capable and confident in our lives! Feeling good in our skin affects all other aspects of our being.
I was initially drawn to yoga in my twenties as a way to balance sports injury and migraines, but fell in love with the full dimensionality of the practice. It not only helps me balance my body in healthy way, but has connected me with peace, presence and mindfulness. I include mantra, pranayama, and meditation in my own daily practice. I am primarily a vinyasa “flow” style teacher. I love using choreography and music to create an experiential class that uplifts your heart. I weave a lot of intention, metaphor, and story into my classes. It's always been important to me to teach yoga in a way that feels accessible, welcoming and comfortable for a wide range of people. My classes are infused with humor, reassurance and creativity because I believe we can take our yoga seriously, but ourselves lightly.
Johanna DeBiase
Johanna DeBiase is an ecofeminist writer whose work examines the many parallels in the way women and nature are both devalued and revered simultaneously. In everything, she seeks magic, the interconnectedness between our societal constructs of reality and the moment-by-moment intervention of the divine in our mundane lives. In this way, she blurs the lines between her art and life, to create worlds that reflect her own world as it exists in dreams and the subconscious realm. She is the author of the fabulist novella Mama & the Hungry Hole (Wordcraft of Oregon, 2015), a New Mexico narrative interwoven with fairytales, which Publisher’s Weekly called an “exquisitely crafted debut novella [that] straddles a line between magical realism and metaphorical truth in a story that explores ties among three generations of women.” Her recently released poetry chapbook, Gestation (Finishing Line Press, 2020) is a personal reflection on her pregnancy through the lens of the four seasons. She writes from her off-grid strawbale home in New Mexico where she is spellbound by the energy vortex of Taos Mountain. Originally from New York, she earned her BA in Literature and Creative Writing from Bard College and her MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. Her writing has appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review, Portland Review and Queen Mob’s Tea House, among others. She has taught Creative Writing courses around the country and is a collage artist, yoga instructor and mother of one.
