Beers with Engineers: How Meaningful Public Involvement Builds Better Projects presented by Great River Engineering

Trailnet invites you to Beers with Engineers: How Meaningful Public Involvement Builds Better Projects, an event crafted specifically for engineers, planners, landscape architects, designers, and development professionals with a passion for transportation! Taking place on Thursday, Feb. 19 at UMSL at Grand Center, Beers with Engineers will include an engaging panel, collaborative activities, networking, snacks, and — you guessed it — local beer and other beverages. The focus this year is the use of public involvement to develop more effective projects.

This event is hosted by Trailnet with support from Great River Engineering, Engineering Design Source, Inc., and the Missouri Foundation for Health. Beer and root beer have been donated by Perennial Ales and Fitz's Root Beer.

Are you an engineer, planner, landscape architect, designer, or development professional? This event is a Professional Development Hour (PDH) opportunity.

What to Expect

Beers with Engineers seeks to equip transportation professionals with the tools and connections that they need to thrive. Spend the afternoon with fellow engineers, planners, landscape architects, designers, and development professionals while discussing public involvement. Hear from Tom Blair (District Engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation), Jacque Knight (Project Manager at Crawford, Murphy & Tilly), and Chris Beard (Vice President of Transportation for Lochmueller Group) as they discuss their own experiences with public involvement. Participate in activities that can be utilized in your own work, network with your peers, and enjoy refreshing beverages.
