Arnold 5K Pump and Run
Description
The Arnold Sports Festival is BACK!
Be a part of one of the largest multi-sport events in the WORLD as you sign up for the Arnold Pump & Run 5K or the run-only Arnold 5K, both returning to Columbus on March 3, 2024.
There are two events you can be a part of: the Arnold Pump & Run 5K where you both bench press and run a 5K, or the run-only Arnold 5K which is a 5K run only. Participation, in either event, gets you the following:
- A quality event t-shirt
- A great finisher medal for all participants
- An event-specific race number
- Free entry ($35 retail value) into the Arnold Fitness EXPO on Sunday, March 3 only (new in 2024: as an athlete you will have the ability to order a full 3-day badge when registering at a price discounted from the general public fee)
All participant registration is available online only.

Additional Race Information
Early Packet Pickup
Athletes can pick up their race packet early ONLY at Columbus Running Company's Dublin, Short North, or Pickerington locations on Thursday, February 29 (10a-8p), Friday, March 1 (10a-8p), or Saturday, March 2 (10a-6p). Race day pickup will operate between 6:15 AM and 10:15 AM. Please note that your single-day expo pass will only be available on race morning in the check-in area. If you purchase the 3-day expo pass, this will be emailed to you directly at the email provided during registration.
Event Day Timeline
- 6:15 AM - Race day pickup and registration begins. Please note: race day registration is only available for the Arnold 5K (run only), and only while spots remain. Pump & Run registration closes on Saturday, March 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
- 6:30 AM - Pump & Run weigh-in and lifting begins (location TBD)
- 9:00 AM - Pump & Run weigh-in and lifting close. All Pump & Run competitors must be in line for weigh-in and lifting by 9 AM. No exceptions!
- 10:15 AM - Check-in for all 5K events closes. Please note: all Arnold 5K Pump & Run competitors who are checking in after 9:00 AM will not be able to weigh in or lift
- 10:30 AM - The Arnold 5K (run only) and Arnold 5K Pump & Run start together on North High St between Spruce St and Swan St
Refunds, Deferrals, Transfers, Waitlists, etc.
The Arnold 5K and Arnold Pump & Run 5K now offer refunds (with refund amounts graduated by date) and a waitlist for any sold-out events. Please review the detailed Refund/Waitlist FAQ page for more details. The Arnold 5K and Arnold Pump & Run 5K do not allow deferrals to future event years or any kind of event/participant transfers.
Your race number cannot be worn by anyone else than the person to whom the number is assigned. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather, COVID-19, or any other reason outside the control of the event directors, the race will not be rescheduled, there will be no refund, and the event will become a virtual 5K with your shirt and medal mailed to you at the address provided in your registration.
We do offer registration protector insurance through RegShield that you can purchase during your registration.
Participant Caps and Restrictions
The Pump & Run 5K is limited to 1,000 participants. Participants in the Pump & Run must be at least 18 years of age - no exceptions.

Awards
Columbus Running Company gift cards (valid in-store AND online) will be mailed post-event to the top five overall men and top five overall women in both events. Finisher medals will be awarded to all finishers in all events.
Arnold Fitness Expo
Athletes registered in either event will receive free entry into the Arnold Fitness Expo on Sunday, March 3rd ($35 value). Your free-entry wristband can only be picked up at the event on Sunday morning, and you cannot transfer this pass to an earlier day. If you desire a 3-day expo badge, you can purchase those additional days during your race registration (available through February 25, 2024). Your 3-day expo badge will be emailed to you directly prior to the Festival beginning.
Restrictions
No dogs, baby joggers, unregistered runners, or inline skates are allowed on the course.
