Join Me in Giving Cancer the Middle F***ing Finger!

Hey everyone :) 
 
Thank you for taking the time to visit this page and read our story.
 
Last year my family was shocked and saddened to discover my uncle, Robert Charles had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of glioblastoma. At every stage of his battle against this utterly despicable disease, Robert remained strong and positive for his wife Katie and their two children Henry & Millie.
 
What started out as an 18 month window of opportunity quickly declined into a number of weeks to say our goodbyes, and on the 29th August 2024 Robert left this world with his loved ones by his side. 
 
I had the privilege of knowing this great man for my entire life. Many of my core values can be attributed to my upbringing and the time spent with this humble, beautiful soul. I feel honored to have so many incredible memories from family holidays at Disney World and camping at my Grandparents farm, to hiding (and losing) his keys so he wouldn’t leave our home. Being a child at the time I didn’t realize the implications of this, and trust me, he never let me live it down! 
 
Next year, I will be running the Yosemite Half Marathon, one of many events I will be embarking on in honor of my beloved uncle. His strength and spirit inspired everyone around him, and I want to continue his legacy by raising awareness and funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. Being able to run in honor of a man I loved dearly in a place so close to my heart is something I feel so proud to be able to do.
