16th Annual Run The D.O.G. St. 5K

The Charity Partner for the Annual Run The D.O.G. St. 5K race is Habitat for Humanity Peninsula & Greater Williamsburg!!

Since 1985, Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg has been making the dream of affordable housing a reality for hardworking families in the cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson and Williamsburg, plus the counties of Charles City, James City, New Kent and York. Habitat families have low to moderate incomes with excellent credit and steady employment, live or work locally and have a need for decent, affordable housing. Habitat homes are energy efficient and purchased with a zero-interest mortgage. Mortgage payments are then recycled to build future Habitat homes!

This year, we’re celebrating 40 incredible years of service, during which we’ve built 233 homes and completed over 500 critical home repairs. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our community.

As we look to the future, we can’t wait to build on the success of the past four decades and continue changing lives—one home at a time. Join us in honoring this milestone by making a donation today and helping us pave the way for the next 40 years of impact!
