My dad was recently receiving care at Buffalo General Hospital, part of the Kaleida Health system. Sadly, he passed away.
Watching the incredible team at Buffalo General care for him with such compassion and dedication has made this fundraiser more personal and important to me than ever before.
As someone who loves running, I was really looking forward to the half marathon this year—but I had to sit it out due to a set of broken ribs. While I’ve been focusing on healing physically, I also wanted to channel my energy into something meaningful: raising money for the very system that cared for my dad in his final days.
This fundraiser is my way of giving back while I recover, grieve, and prepare to hit the pavement again next year—stronger, more grateful, and carrying his memory with every step.
