On October 23, 2023 our 13yo-daughter Elise was diagnosed with a large blood clot in her subclavian vein, which connects her arm to her heart. Her clot was caused by repetitive overhead arm movements while participating in club swimming for several years (Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome). She underwent two venograms, angioplasties, a removal of her first rib, and a removal of a portion of her scalene (neck) muscle to treat her blood clot and prevent a recurrence. She also underwent months of physical therapy and blood thinner medications. As we approach the one-year "clotaversary" of that day in the ER, our family is racing to help Stop the Clot®. Please help us support the National Blood Clot Alliance by making a donation through our page. The process is fast, easy and secure. Thanks so much for your support... and please don't forget to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating!
