We offer multiple events and distances, with something for every age group and ability. On event morning, along with an enjoyable run or walk through Davis’ residential neighborhoods and greenbelts, participants enjoy our post-race expo, with refreshments and samples from vendors. Prizes for timed events to overall winners as well as the top three finishers in each category. Prizes to top finishers in Dog Division (2 Mile only) plus in all Adaptive Divisions for 2 Mile, 5K, 10K, and Half.

2 MILE/5K/10K/HALF Entries: Includes chip timing and eligibility for age group awards, long sleeve technical t-shirt (opt-out if you prefer no tshirt), and a finisher medal. Age divisions and other categories eligible for prizes are outlined here.
2 Mile Dog Division: If you are participating in the 2 Mile event, you will be asked during the registration process if you are participating with a dog. Dogs are not required for the 2 Mile and about half of the entrants do not participate with a dog. All are welcome.
Those with a dog in the 2 Mile have the opportunity to have their dog placed in a dog division and be eligible for prizes based on dog size and finish time. Entering the dog division is optional and will not remove you from the human race results. To enter, please indicate your dog size when you register along with his or her name and breed. If you'll have more than one dog with you, use size of SMALLEST dog. Record breed of your smallest dog in below question as well. There will be prizes for the top dogs in each size subdivision in the 2 mile race ONLY- no prizes or results for dogs in the 5K, 10K or Half distances. Only one dog size can be attributed per human runner/walker. If two people will be running with one dog, you should only enter the dog in the dog division on one of the human's entries (not both). Dog subdivision entries must be received no later than Wednesday 11/16.
Half Marathon: The half marathon is back! This 13.1 mile course starts at 7:50 a.m. and travels through Downtown Davis, the Cannery, into the country via F Street and Road 29, and through the Davis greenbelts, finishing on B Street at the same finish line as the other races. Pacers will be present to help you achieve your goal finish time. Water stops are every two miles (approx.). Course cut-off is 3 hours and 45 minutes. If you are not on track to finish within this timeframe, you will be offered a ride back to the finish line. There are two manmade "hills" on the half marathon route: 1) Covell Blvd after the Cannery (to go up and over the train tracks) and 2) the footbridge to cross Covell and enter Community Park, near Catalina Ave. For the most part this is a very flat course.
Virtual Entries: Includes packet mailing via USPS (packets sent on 11/21-11/26), commemorative bib number, long sleeve technical t-shirt (opt-out if you prefer no tshirt), and finisher medal. Virtual Entrants will be emailed information about how to upload their time to our results server. Complete your virtual run or walk anytime between November 1 and December 15th.
Kids Fun Run Entries: A non-competitive, un-timed fun run with four distances: Toddler trot, 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, and One Mile (double loop of Half Mile course). Finisher's gift to all finishers. Parents / caregivers may run/walk alongside a child in the kids fun run if that makes the child more comfortable. Parent does not need to register for the Kids Race to do so. A short sleeve t-shirt may be added to the entry for $5.
Adaptive Kids Fun Run, Walk, or Roll: A non-compeetitive, untimed 50 yard option for kids ages 18 and under with disabilities. All assistive mobility devices are welcome, including wheelchairs, electric strollers, canes, orthotic devices, etc. One parent or caregiver may assist each child during their event. Course is a paved half-oval loop. Finisher's gift to all finishers. A short sleeve t-shirt may be added to the entry for $5.
Kids events will start AND finish on B Street near the corner of 6th street. (New location). We will start with the Adaptive Kids Event first (50yd) at 10:30am, using heats if needed based on participation. Following that will be the 1 Mile, 1/2 Mile, 1/4 Mile, and lastly the Toddler Trot (about 220 yds).
Note: Children 12 and under entering the 5K or 2 Mile who wish to also participate in the kids fun run do not need to register twice. Register only for the longer distance.
New Shirt Sizes offered for 2022: Children's sizes in the long sleeve tech shirts for children in the 2 mile and 5K.
New for 2022: Adaptive Divisions for the 2 Mile, 5K, 10K and Half Marathon. Adaptive Divisions are offered in the 2 Mile, 5K, and 10K. Divisions offered are: Wheelchair: Push Rim, Wheelchair: Hand crank, Wheelchair: Non-racing wheelchair (e.g. motorized or pushed), Visually Impaired, Limb Deficiency/Limb Difference, Duo Team (A duo team is comprised of an able-bodied runner or walker pushing a non-ambulatory person in a customized racing wheelchair), and Intellectual Impairment. The top three male, female, and nonbinary finishers in each adaptive division will receive a prize. Entrants in the adaptive divisions will be listed in the standard results list and will be eligible for age group awards/rankings, except for those participating in the Wheelchair divisions.
Guides/Support Runners for Adaptive Entrants: If you are a sighted guide for a visually impaired participant, or a support runner/walker for an entrant in an adaptive category (Limb Deficiency, Duo Team, Intellectual Impairment, or Visually Impaired), please do not enter the adaptive division. Support Runners (including sighted guides) for entrants in the Visually Impaired, Limb Deficiency, Duo Team, or Intellectual Impairment divisions must be registered for the event either as a standard paid entrant or as a support runner. Entering as a support runner is is offered at no charge. To register for the support runner/walker category, select "Support Runner" choice at registration (end of list). Those registering as a support runner will receive a special support runner bib and will not be eligible for age group awards nor be ranked by age. A race t-shirt and medal are offered to support runners for $7 and $5, respectively. One may opt out of either or both items to make the entry free. (No support runner entry available for wheelchair entrants except for pushed wheelchairs). In the case that support runners wish to receive the full race experience (eligible for awards, ranked by age division, etc) in that case they should register for the distance they are going to run/walk (2 mile, 5K, etc) instead of as a Support Runner, but be sure to not enter an Adaptive Division. - We suggest that support runners/walkers and guides wear high visibility clothing or a vest indicating that they are a guide or a support runner. However, it is not required.
- Please do not register as a Support Runner if you do not already have an athlete you are paired with. At this time we do not have a matching program, but will post if there are adaptive entrants seeking support runners.
- The Half Marathon and 10K both have one location on the course where participants go up a curb. We will do our best to make a ramp in this location. 10K entrants cross this point one time and Half Marathoners cross it twice. All courses are paved.

Take on a 15K: The unofficial 15K works like this: First you run the 5K, which you must finish in under 55 minutes. Come through the finish line, grab some water, do not take a medal, and then head back to the start line for the 10K race, which starts 55 minutes after the 5K. Then, run the 10K. You'll be present in the results of both the 5K and 10K events and are eligible for awards in both races. One t-shirt, one medal (take it at the end of the 10K or you'll have to carry it for 6 miles). NEW for 2022: Awards for the top three finishers per gender in the 15K.
T-shirts and sizes are guaranteed for entrants by November 15th at 11:59pm; after that time it is first come, first serve, limited to stock on hand.

Covid Protocols will be evaluated in the Fall and based on current health guidance from the City of Davis and Yolo County.
All post race activities and race logistics will be subject to appropriate Covid protocols, for which A Change of Pace will assess in early November.
Please Note Refund Policy: Start times are subject to change. Event happens rain or shine. All entries are strictly non refundable and non transferable. We reserve the right to postpone, delay or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances or acts of God which would make staging the event unsafe for event participants, volunteers, sponsors or staff. If we, the State of California, Yolo County, or the City of Davis deem this event unsafe to occur in person due to current health conditions (including Covid or air quality due to wildfires) we will notify you of our decision to postpone or cancel, or move to virtual, by email as well as on our website and social media pages. There will be no refunds should this occur. If you become ill prior to event day, have to go out of town for work, or cannot attend due to family issues, we can transfer your entry to the virtual division and you can participate virtually. We also allow transfers to a friend/family member IF your request is submitted on or before Wednesday 11/16. We do not, however, grant refunds should the aforementioned circumstances occur.
