Event Description
D-Day is the perfect time to honor the soldiers who trained at Camp Toccoa and all veterans who served and jumped into Normandy on June 6, 1944. The 10K Run and Memorial Walk will take you in the footsteps of the 18,000 who trained on Currahee Mountain during WWII.
All proceeds from the events will be used for the Camp Toccoa at Currahee Project to preserve the Legacy of Leadership exemplified by the men who trained there. Thank you for supporting the event and celebrating the Greatest Generation!

Registrations must be received by May 18, 2026 to receive a t-shirt.

DDay Memorial Run
The DDay Memorial Walk is an untimed participation only event.
You may walk any distance up the mountain, turn around and return to the finish line area. Registrations must be received by May 13, 2024 to receive a t-shirt.

Course
The Start is on Ayersville Road near the entrance to Camp Toccoa running down to Patterson Pump, turn around and enter Camp Toccoa through the entrance gates. Run past the barracks and out the back side of the property to the mountain. You are now on the same mountain the Band of Brothers trained on. Run to the top of the mountain, turn around at the fence at the top and return to the finish line.

Awards
Awards are presented to the 10K finishers only.
Overall Male/Female, Overall Masters Male/Female and the top three (3) Male/Female finishers in each age
group: 10 & Under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-79, 80 & Over.

What if it Rains?
We get wet! In the event of storms, the start may be delayed in 15-minute increments. Sorry, no refunds due to weather.
