Pedal the Cause

My story started last July 2023 with what I thought would be a routine ultrasound! This advanced to major gynecologic surgery, and then ended up with a Stage IV uterine cancer diagnosis  on August 4.

Since this original post , I have been on a steep roller coaster ride! My cancer has returned and I have restarted a new drug that has not been kind to me. As a consequence I am having to force myself to eat and drink. I have been in a state of constant nausea and fatigue and still have neuropathy in my feet. There were other tests that really scared me but fortunately re-tests have cleared these issues at least for now.

Having said this, I know that I have not suffered as much as so many others.  I am a grateful person for all of my friends and family and those that have supported me. 

This is Pedal the Cause Weekend! We are excited and love this amazing mass of people coming together to defeat cancer! I  Skip will be riding and I will be participating as part of the Living Proof survivors and fighters group! We have benefitted and and hopefully will continue to benefit from the research that Pedal the Cause funds!
