Dear Friends - Clearwater has a fun new challenge to get people out on the water called "Paddle for Our Hudson". Getting out on the water we gain a greater appreciation for protecting our watersheds and our Hudson River!
Enjoying the river, preserving and protecting the environment was our founder Pete Seeger's vision in building the Sloop Clearwater.
I will be "Paddling for Our Hudson" from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of July, tracking miles, exceeding the 55 mile goal, and posting pictures.
As an avid kayaker and a Board Director of Clearwater this is the perfect event for me to help the organization.
Thanks in advance to all who value Clearwaters education and environmental programs. More than 100,000 school children have come aboard the sloop for hands-on learning experiences.
