Description
The 28th Annual Delaware Youth Center River Race will take place on Sunday, July 19th, 2026, along the beautiful Delaware River. With over 500 participants ranging from ages 5 to 95, we welcome runners and walkers of all ages, and are excited to see both new and familiar faces again this year. Our race boasts some of the most scenic views in New York State with a fast, flat course along the Delaware River, perfect for personal records.

Date: Sunday, July 19th, 2026
Distances: 5K Run/Walk; 10K Run; and Virtual Run/Walk
Time: All Racer (Runners & Walkers will start @ 8:15am
Start Location: Delaware Youth Center (DYC), 8 Creamery Road, Callicoon, NY
Finish Location: Callicoon USPS Post Office, 13 River Rd, Callicoon, NY 12723
T-shirts for the first 400 registrants
Award ceremony and raffle drawing at 10:00am on race day @ DYC
Awards for top three Female/Male runners and by age group
Awards for top three Female/Male walkers
Packet pickup on Saturday, July 18, 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Delaware Youth Center
Same day registration 7:00am - 8:00am
Bagels and fruit after the race @ DYC
Strollers are welcome, please start at the rear of the race. To comply with Insurance requirements, dogs are not permitted.

The Delaware Youth Center River Race is one of the largest and most vital fundraisers for our facility. This funding allows us to operate the facility and keep the Youth Center open for another generation of Callicoon-area kids.
