If it weren’t for Ronald McDonald House and supporters like you we would not have been able to stay with our children during our six month NICU stay. This house is very important for families just like ours and we would appreciate your help! We left our home on 4/5/19, was offered a room at Ronald McDonald House on 4/17/19 and returned home with both of our micro preemie twins on 10/20/19.
Our goal is to raise $250 for each one of our boys. This Ronald McDonald House gave us a home away from home to stay with our twins while they fought for their lives. Here we were able to cry, talk privately about important decisions, shower, sleep, eat, do laundry, and make new friends. All of this would not be possible without donors like you. We were 4 hours away from home, there were days that both of our children were fighting so hard just to stay alive. I couldn’t have imagined having to be 4 hours away and not being there to make the decisions, hold their hands, rub their heads, kangaroo them and share in their fight. To let them know that their Mommy and Daddy were right there beside them. I had already decided I would sleep in my car or the lobby of the hospital if I had to, I was not leaving them. I couldn’t.
There are so many families facing the same things we faced and some are facing so much more. These types of journeys are not only mentally and physically taxing but they can literally destroy you financially. Not having to worry about where you are going to stay, Where your next meal is coming from or how you are going to wash your clothes is such a blessing.
