Today, there are 49.6 million people worldwide who are slaves and less than one percent are ever rescued. Some of these people are right here in our community - right under our noses and they go unnoticed day after day. In the United States and Pennsylvania, the majority of victims are women and girls who have been coerced into sex trafficking. Without intervention, including a safe place to go to heal from the horrific abuse they have endured, they are truly trapped.
