Get to the Point Half Marathon

We welcome you to join us at Elk Point, SD for the “get to the Point” half marathon, Saturday, September 26th, 2015 starting at Casey’s, exit 18 off I-29. Packet pickup before the race starts 8:30 am.  Walkers can leave at 8;15 am. runners leave at 8:30 am.  Checkin begins as soon as the registrration staff are set up.   Food and beverages, snacks , finisher medals and dri fit shirts for all registered entries. Dri Fits --if you register after Sept. 4th, we will carry some extra, but limited to what we have on hand for late registrations.   1000 west Main at Caseys- exit 18 off I-29, then come in the far east driveway by the car wash and come to Caseys toward the registration tent and parking areas as designated. Ample parking at Caseys, across the road, and shuttles running from a nearby parking area to the event.    Portables will be on the route, and changing areas are available as well.  All proceeds support our youth mentoring. We are a 501c3 non profit agency and have been gping since 1997.  Alarge color map will be at the site and a blow up of the in town area is also included. Assistance from the Boy/Girl Scouts, Polaris, the Elk Point chamber members, and numberous volunteers should make this a great race ! Gille , or linkedIn for more updates.  We are extending our $45 price plus reg. fee to 5 pm on Friday, Sept. 26th. Online registration closes at 5 pm. We will accept a check for $50 , no fees, the day of the race, and will  fill shirts  as we can. Right now we have a good amount of shirts available from small, medium, large  xl, and one 2 xl left, so now's a good time to register, so you can get in on the fun!  All proceeds support the local mentoring program which matches youth age 5-17, and helps us with the comm. service scholarship and community fund. Our mission is to help youth.   Age awards will be given after the race. Tentatively  under 19 and then 10 year brackets up from there up to 69 years old then 69 years and above.   Night glow finisher medals will be given again as they were a popular item.   Same day registrations are welcome!    Walkers are welcome- take the time you need to complete the course.
