IDA-GA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, scientific, and educational organization dedicated to increasing public awareness of dyslexia, the most common cause of reading, writing, and spelling difficulties, impacting 15-20% of the population. We are proud to be part of the International Dyslexia Association, the oldest organization of its kind in the United States, serving individuals with dyslexia, their families, educators, and professionals.
Our mission is to serve as a resource and support system for anyone concerned with dyslexia and related reading challenges. Through community outreach meetings, dyslexia awareness-building events—including our annual Dyslexia Dash 5K run/walk—professional education conferences, an information and referral hotline, and informative newsletters, we strive to spread awareness and provide educational solutions for struggling readers. This year alone, we anticipate returning over $50,000 directly into our community through scholarships and grants supporting structured literacy teacher training.
None of this critical work is possible without the generous support of participants, sponsors, volunteers, and friends like you.
Together, we can demystify reading difficulties, increase understanding of dyslexia, promote effective reading instruction, and create meaningful change in the lives of countless individuals.
As a special thank you, any Fundraiser raising $100 or more by October 1 will have their fundraiser's name featured on the official Dyslexia Dash t-shirt. Additionally, individual donors contributing $100 or more have the option to have their own name or the name of someone they wish to honor printed on the t-shirt.
Thank you for supporting this worthy cause and making a difference!
Without the support of our participants, sponsors, volunteers at the Dyslexia Dash, and friends like you, these exciting events would not be possible.
Together we can demystify reading difficulties, spread knowledge about dyslexia and effective reading instruction, and encourage change.
If this Fundraiser raises $100 or more by October 1, the Fundraiser name will appear on the Dyslexia Dash t-shirt. In addition, the names of all individual donors who donate $100 or more will have the option for their name or someone they honor to be listed on the t-shirt.
Thank you for any support for this worthy cause!
