One week before our son Jamir's 1st birthday, he began having seizures. A week later, he was diagnosed with focal epilepsy. Although this diagnosis was new to us, we immediately started to gain knowledge of epilepsy and became advocates for our son as well as others living with it. There is no cure for epilepsy, but in most cases, it can be controlled with medication. April 5th, we will be participating in the annual Seize the Day event held at Pennington Biomedical Research Center and would love your support as we raise money to help join the search for a cure.
