Bank of America Chicago Marathon Semper Fi & America's Fund Team 2023

Hello all,

For anyone who may not know me, I am a student in my final year of the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the University of Saint Mary. Through athletics, I found my way to USM as a member of the cross country and track and field teams for 5 years. Since the completion of my eligibility, I have been largely focused on school, but continuing to run. While I have achieved and learned many things through running, I am still chasing some personal goals. My ultimate goal is to qualify for the 2028 U.S. Marathon Team Trials, a race that is held in the months prior to the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. I am looking ahead and beginning to prepare for this opportunity by running in the 2023 Chicago Marathon in October. This race will serve as an opportunity to understand more about myself and the process of training for high-performance marathons.

There are many charities that are partner with the Chicago Marathon. Each charity manages its own unique charity team and has access to guaranteed entries to the race. While fundraising requirements may vary from charity to charity, I'm proudly supporting Semper Fi & America's Fund with a partnered goal of $1,800.

Semper Fi & America’s Fund cares for our nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. This population is near and dear to my heart as my father is a disabled veteran of the United States Army. This organization focuses on supporting all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, and provides one-on-one case management, connection, and lifetime support.
