I am excited to announce that I am running in the Cambridge Half-Marathon on November 2nd! While I am excited about the race itself and what it means to me to run a half-marathon, I am even more excited that I am doing it as a charity runner (https://runsignup.com/katerunsforPHR) for Physicians for Human Rights (PHR). PHR is a non-profit that was started in Cambridge in the early ‘80s and works to promote health and human rights for individuals and groups around the world. Given all that is happening around the world and in the U.S. presently and the many ways that the right to health is being abrogated, this fundraiser is particularly important to me and urgent.
