Description

Miracle Hill’s Annual Kids Ninja Challenge is a family-friendly fundraising event for children ages 4 to 12. Kids are given the opportunity to become a Ninja for the day and challenge themselves to 15+ obstacles (WET & DRY) on a .75 mile course. 

 We will also have water slides, bounce houses, face painting, & music, included with registration for kids to enjoy!!!  Leading up to the event, participants are encouraged to raise money for hurting children and adults who are experiencing homelessness in Miracle Hill’s shelters and programs.

An online fundraising page will be created for your child during registration, and they will also receive a fundraising folder in the mail with prize information.

There will be fundraising prizes at various levels!!! The sky is the limit!!!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the registration fee include?

One child's event participation, a Kids Ninja Challenge t-shirt, a Kids Ninja headband and a finisher medal. (T-shirt sizes are first come first serve at packet pickup)

When is the registration deadline?

Registration closes on August 7th at 11:59pm or if all spots fill prior to this date. Register early as this event fills up FAST!

When is the Fundraising deadline?

All donations must be received by 6:00pm, Friday, August 11th in order to be considered for prizes. 

Do I have to fundraise to participate in the event?

We encourage each Ninja to raise money that will help hurting children and adults experiencing homelessness through Miracle Hill's programs and facilities. On any given night Miracle Hill has around 650 guests staying in one of our 6 residential facilities, 16 transitional homes, and many upstate foster homes receiving shelter, food, clothing, and care. This event provides a way for kids to raise money and make an impact in their own community!

When do I need to arrive at the event?

All participants must check-in at the "Participant Check-In" tent 30 minutes prior to their wave time - e.g. if your wave time is at 9:00am, check-in is at 8:30am. Please do not check-in before or after this time in order to keep the check-in process smooth for everyone.

There will be fun activities for the children to enjoy before and after their wave time.

What happens if it rains?

This event will take place rain or shine. In the case of a severe storm or inclement weather, authorities may decide to cancel the morning of the event. If there is a weather cancellation, emails and texts will be sent out to inform registrants.

When will I get my child's t-shirt and fundraising prizes?

T-shirts sizes will be first come first serve at Participation Packet Pickup! Please plan to pick up your participation packet and drop off all cash donations Thursday, August 10th or Friday, August 11th between 11:00am-1:00pm or 3:00pm-6:00pm. If you are unable to pick up your participation packet on Thursday or Friday, please arrive 30 minutes before your wave time to receive the packet at the Packet Pick up Tent. Your packet will consist of your event shirt, headband, goody bag, and any fundraising prizes you may have earned. 

Can someone else pick up my participation packet for me?

Yes, pickup will be Thursday, August 10th and Friday, August 11th between 11:00am - 1:00pm or 3:00pm - 6:00pm at 490 S.Pleasantburg Drive Greenville, SC 29607.

Is this a timed event?

No. We have however, expanded the course and worked to make it more challenging. Each child will receive a finisher medal for completing the Ninja Challenge! 

What should kids wear for the Ninja Warrior Course?

Kids should wear comfortable, athletic shoes and clothing that they do not mind getting dirty. We also encourage bringing a extra pair of shoes & packing a towel because  your Ninja will get wet!

Can I run the course with my kids?

You can run along the outside of the roped-off course to cheer on your kids!

Can my kids run together even if they are of different ages?

Yes! You can register your kids for the same wave time. Kids 8 years old and older will get a 1-minute head start; however, they can stay behind to start with a younger sibling if desired. 

How hard is the course?

This event is designed to help kids feel challenged and encouraged by what they can accomplish! We have included more obstacles this year which span over a .75 mile course. Some obstacles will be more difficult than others, but we want participants to feel like true warriors by the end of the challenge.

Do I have to do every obstacle?

A participant can opt-out of an obstacle by going around it, but we will encourage all Ninjas to attempt every obstacle! Volunteers will also be located at each obstacle to assist along the way.

How do the wave times work?

Waves start at 8:00am and are released every 10 minutes. There will be 30-25 kids in each wave. All participants should be at the start line 5 minutes before their designated wave time. Kids 8 years old and older will be given a 1-minute head start. Register soon because some wave times will fill up fast. 

Will restrooms be available?

Yes. Portable restrooms will be available.

What if I get hurt?

Our course is designed with safety as the number one priority. However, in the event an injury occurs, we will have an EMT and a paramedic on site.

Where should I park?

 Parking is available at the facility, but we also encourage carpooling where possible.
