We’re the Lemus family, and we’re running the Rainbow Run 5K together to support The Source LGBT+ Center right here in Visalia.
Now more than ever, it’s important to stand behind spaces that uplift, affirm, and protect LGBTQ+ individuals, especially our youth. The Source offers vital programs, support, and affirmation, reminding people they are loved, seen, and celebrated exactly as they are. That kind of safe space shouldn’t be rare. It should be the norm.
Our family believes deeply in kindness, confidence, and acceptance. We want every kid (and every adult) to grow up in a world where they can feel proud of who they are. That starts right here, in our own backyard.
We’re hoping to raise at least $300 to help The Source keep doing what they do best: building a stronger, safer, more inclusive community for all. If you’re able to donate, we’d be so grateful. And if you want to join us out there on the course? Even better. We’ll be the slightly out-of-breath crew running with rainbow socks and full hearts.
