This professionally timed 5K run/walk winds through scenic Shiawassee Park and Downtown Farmington, all as part of the Farmington Founders Festival.
This race has something for everyone. Competitive runners can enjoy an accurate course with age group awards and Overall Male and Female medals, while fun-seekers will love the four color stations along the route. Prefer to skip the color? You can easily pass right by.
Register by July 5, 2026 to guarantee your race t-shirt (after that, shirts are first-come, first-served). All participants receive a finisher medal and post-race refreshments.
Whether you’re racing for time or just out for fun and color, this 5K is for you—and the celebration continues post race at the Founders Festival! 🎶🏅

Participants will receive a race t-shirt, finishers medal and commemorative race bib.
Shirts are guaranteed with registration by Sunday, July 5th. Sizes available as they last after that date.
Finisher medal for all participants!
Results
Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live immediately after you finish the race.
The race is professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
Awards
Overall Awards: Male and Female winners.
Age Group Awards: Male and Female - 12 and under, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70and over.
Course & Color Information
🎉 Positioned within the race route will be four color stations. If you wish to forego the color there will be enough room to breeze straight past them.
💦 There is one water stop along the course. Water and post race refreshments will be available for all participants.
🚩The start of the race is on Power Rd at Shiawassee park. The finish is on the path within Shiawassee park.
Competitive runners will line up towards the front, runners in the middle and walkers towards the back.
Please note dogs are not permitted at this event.
