Help support “Bigger than the Trail” for Mental Health Awareness and Suicide Prevention as I prepare to run the Vacation Races Shenandoah Half Marathon!
By registering for a Charity Bib for this event, I've agreed to raise money to support “Bigger than the Trail” which raises awareness for mental health and suicide prevention. Help me reach my GOAL!
I am inspired to do this for a multitude of reasons. The greatest is in memory of my father, who took his life when I was 12 years old. He was a runner himself and my love of running came from my desire to make him proud of my health and fitness journey, something he took great pride in. To carry on a part of him that he loved deeply keeps me so motivated.
There’s such big stigma on mental health and this hits home in more ways than just losing my father. To do this race to raise funds for mental health and suicide awareness is very personal. It’s a huge goal just to accomplish my first 1/2 marathon and do it with a very heartfelt purpose is even more inspirational.
I would truly appreciate anyone that understands the struggles of mental health and would like to support this cause to donate.
I have until August 31st, 2024, to reach my goal of $1000.00. Once I do, I'll be eligible to run! HELP ME REACH THAT GOAL 🙌🏻!
