Lucretia started her journey in January 2024 when she was diligently doing her routine mammogram. Her mammogram revealed a mass which, after further testing resulted in Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Lucretia started chemotherapy on March 15th and has handled this like a champ. Lucretia is one of a kind, she walks into a room and immediately lights it up and make friends with anyone. Lucretia has been an employee at WDH for 17 years. She worked as an LNA on 3 South and now is the Lead Endoscopy Technician for the Endoscopy Department. If you were to ask anyone in the Endo department, they would say she is the heart of the operation. Before the diagnosis, we would often say, "What would we do without you?" We always knew how valuable she was, but now that she is on LOA, we have come to understand just how much we depend on her skills and knowledge. Lucretia is embarking on her last chemo on July 30th, after which she will undergo more testing to see how her journey continues. Lucretia is not only our coworker but has been a friend to some of us for many years. We love her dearly. You may have a Lucretia in your life too, and through this fundraising endeavor, our goal is to help patients get the best care and services possible at MGB Cancer Center. Lucretia has been so lucky to have an amazing MGB Cancer Center team including Dr. Cabalona, Caitlin Phelps Jessel, PA, Susan Cain, RN, and Amanda Manning, Pharmacist. Lucretia's Lions would like to thank her Oncology team for protecting our lion cub. We love you, Lucretia!
