13th Annual Miles for a Mission 5K Run/Walk – In Person AND Virtual – benefiting Fairgate Farm

Darndest thing! Just had a bit of hand surgery, but it hasn’t stopped me from stretching out both hands, asking for your help for important causes, which deserve our attention and support.
Exactly one year ago today 5/11/24, six exceptionally special friends invited me out for lunch, for a very early 90th b’day celebration. Over 80 people turned up to surprise me and honor my youth. Today, one year later, I’ve invited the sneaky six here, and plan to read this epistle to them at dinner.
It delights me that our St Francis’s 13th annual Miles for a Mission road race, taking place on 9/21/25, will benefit Fairgate Farm, a marvelous farm in downtown Stamford, promoting growth and consumption of organic fruits and vegetables, engendering respect for nature and healthy eating, leading to productive lives and community coherence.
Those who shop there pay what they can, thus it truly welcomes all!
In spite of the many things causing tremendous angst in our lives, I, (we) have much for which to be thankful and celebrate.
Our beloved St Francis Church will celebrate its 80th birthday in December. Our amazing friends Joe and Claudia Bilotti will celebrate their 50th anniversary in October, (Claudia is brilliantly co- chairing M 4 M once again, and Joe is amazingly leading the fundraising sponsorship program for the race, and has already raise over 10% of our goal). 
For those of you unfamiliar with St. Francis and or the Bilottis, I have surpassed 90 and will soon be a 91year old, and always am thrilled and so very grateful to use my wrinkles and white hair to encourage your generosity.
As a devoted “foodie”, just think what fun it is for me to be promoting Fairgate Farm.
