🐻 Rich McGary – Team Captain, Bear Force One
Boston Bruins BFIT Challenge
I’m honored to be participating once again in the Boston Bruins BFIT Challenge, this time as Team Captain of Bear Force One for the second year in a row. Our team is made up of first responders and veterans who’ve worn the uniform, stood on the frontlines, and continue to serve our communities every day.
This event isn’t just a physical challenge — it’s a mission with heart. It represents the fight to protect the mental health and well-being of those who protect us.
For me, this is deeply personal. As a U.S. Marine veteran, I’ve witnessed the toll that service can take. I’ve lost friends and brothers to silent battles, and I’ve felt those struggles firsthand. That’s why I lead this team with pride and purpose: to ensure that no one is left behind and that the conversation around mental health for veterans and first responders continues to grow louder.
Our goals are clear and unwavering:
🖤 Raise awareness and funds to support critical health and wellness programs for first responders and veterans.
💛 Build a stronger future by breaking stigma and creating lasting change in how we care for those who serve.
🐻 Honor and inspire — to carry the memory of those we’ve lost and stand strong for those still fighting their battles.
Every step we take and every dollar raised is a commitment to a better future — one where our heroes have the support, respect, and care they deserve.
Your support fuels that future. Together, we can build stronger communities and give our veterans and first responders the tools they need not just to survive — but to thrive.
Thank you for standing with me, with us, and with the mission. 🇺🇸
