Long considered the east end season opener would be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. It features a very scenic course through the beautiful hamlet of Montauk. The race consists of a 1 mile swim, 20 miles bike and 6.2 miles run. This fun event is USAT sanctioned.

This course must be completed in 3 hours 55 minutes.
SWIM - The distance is 1 mile in the calm salt water of Lake Montauk. The course is out and back. Since this race is in the spring, wet suits are recommended (water temperature is normally around 55 degrees Fahrenheit).
BIKE - The distance is 20 miles taking you along Montauk historical routes; giving you a bird's eye view of the famous Montauk Lighthouse. The course is out and back with some hills. Hardshell helmets (ANSE approved) and bar end plugs are mandatory. This race adheres to USAT policy of NO DRAFTING.
RUN - The distance is 6.2 miles through the scenic side of Montauk challenging hills . NO ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON THE COURSE (ex: iPods, MP3 players etc). No water stops on the bike course. However, water stops are at one mile intervals on the run course.

All athletes are welcomed to participate. However, non-USAT members must purchase a one day ($15.00) membership at check-in. (Please note, this is not included in your registration).We are now offering annual memberships, but no duplicates at check-in. Annual members who do not bring their membership cards must pay the $15.00 one day registration fee. Please contact www.usatriathlon.org for membership information.
USAT rules mandates NO DRAFTING on the course. All participans must have approved ANSI/SNELL helmets. Helmet straps must be fastened before bike leaves racks and remain fastened until bike is replaced. Bike and run numbers must be displayed throughout the entire race. Bar end plugs are mandatory. All athletes must participate in their age group division relative to their age at December 31st of the current year.
All registrations are final. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS OF REGISTRATION FEES.

Registration fee is $115.00 up to May 1st, 2017/ $125.00 to June 09th, 2017. The race will close once the quota has been reached.

Packet pick up will be on June 09th from 10.00am to 10.00pm, at the Harborside Motel, 371 West Lake Drive, Montauk NY 11954. RACE DAY PACKET PICK UP CAN BE ARRANGED FOR $10.00 EXTRA. THIS WILL BE DONE BETWEEN 5.45AM TO 6.45AM. Participants must be present with photo ID, and USAT card, if you have one, to collect race packet. NO EXCEPTIONS. Non USAT members must pay $15.00 for one day membership. NO REFUNDS OR TRANSFERS OF REGISTRATION FEES. Race is rain or shine.

Awards will be presented to: Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female overall; Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female for each age group; Top 3 Clydesdales (Men 200+ lbs); Top 3 Athenas (Women 150+ lbs)
Accommodations have been made at different locations for secure parking. Participants will be directed at packet pick up and by the local police officers on race day. Please follow directions.
