Join us for the first annual Mardi Gras Mile. This fun race will take place along the parade route in the middle of the New Bern Mardi Gras Festival with the crowds cheering you on. Wear your best Mardi Gras attire to join the celebration. Come early before the race or stick around after for live music, vendors, and food trucks. Prizes for first place finishers and a chance to ride in the Mardi Gras Parade for those in costume.
Proceeds of this race will benefit the We Can Be Association and the New Bern Mardi Gras Committee. The We Can Be Association is a local non-profit that provides funding for equipment and therapy to exceptional children in Eastern NC.
Registration: $20 per participant until 1/18/2023, then increases to $25 per participant until race day on 2/18/2023.

• 1st Overall Mardi Gras Attire, Male & Female (ride in the parade with a guest)
• Top 3 in Age Group, Male & Female:
Under 10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Giveaway: Race registration includes a customized Mardi Gras bead and a drink ticket* to redeem at the festival.

Packet pick-up will be at Coastal Sole (2122 Trent Blvd, New Bern) from 5-7pm on Friday, Feb 17th or starting at 12:30 pm the day of the race.
There will be road closures due to the festival and parade. Parking is available at Temple Church (1500 Kingdom Way, New Bern) that can be best accessed from Rhem St. Please allow yourself enough time to get to the start line.
Once results are available following the race, awards can be picked up at table near finish line.
Drink tickets can be redeemed at Brutopia beer tent (for individuals age 21 and older) or at the awards table for a non-alcoholic canned beverage.
