Race Description/Details:
Grab your sneakers and your furry friend and join us for the first annual Fast and Furriest 5k to benefit the Wayne County Humane Society. The 5k timed race to start at 8:00am, 5k fun run to start at 8:15am, and the 1 mile wag to start at 8:30am. Awards will be given and there will be festivities after the races. All K9 participants will need to have updated shot records and be able to participate with other dogs and people. $5 per animal and only 1 animal per runner/walker. Festival will be held after the races for everyone to enjoy. Hope to see you there!
Registration Fees/Dates/Categories:
$30 5k (timed run) pre-register before April 30th
$20 5k (untimed) pre-register before April 30th
$15 1 mile (untimed)
All prices increase by $5 on day of race.
*T-shirts will only be guaranteed for those who register before April 30th. Shirts will be available to everyone on race day for purchase.

USATF-certified course. Scenic route starting and ending at the YMCA.

Furry Friends Welcome
This race has gone to the dogs! We would love for you to bring your furry friend with you to run this race or walk in the 1 mile wag. Here are a few rules and tips for Fido and friends to have a fun time too!
1. All furry friends must be up to date on all shots, vaccinations and tags. Please bring shot records with you to the registration table.
2. All furry friends must be on a leash at all times. However, no retractable leashes and leashes must not be longer than 8 feet.
3. No dogs under 6 months of age may participate in the race and absolutely no dogs in heat.
4. No aggressive dogs. We welcome all dogs as long as they are on their best behavior.
You know your furry friend better than us, so please use your best judgement and please follow these safety guidelines to ensure a great event for everyone.
