Description
Austin Elementary invites you to their 50th Anniversary Celebration with the Dunwoody Dash 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run! Bring the entire family for post race fun including Dunwoody's favorite food trucks, music, free inflatables, face painting and more! All proceeds from the Dunwoody Dash support Austin Elementary School students, faculty and staff, and fund school enrichment programs.
The 5k is an official qualifier for the 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race. Awards will be given to the top 5k runners in various age groups. The 5K and Fun Run are walker and stroller friendly!

If you can't make it to the times above, last minute pick up available on race day 10/25 at 7:15a-7:45a.
Race Bags will not be distributed through the AM or PM carpool line. No parking on campus for AM pick up (park off campus and walk to school). Parking at the school is available for afternoon pickup.

Key Times
7:30am Participants begin arriving
7:50am T-shirt/Bib pickup and late registration is located at the Starting Line from 7:30-7:50am.
8:00am The festival area opens in the school playground area. Food trucks begin serving.
8:00am 5K begins near the traffic light at the Austin/Dunwoody Nature Center entrance.
8:10am Fun Run/Walk begins at the same location as 5K
10:30am Festival closes
Parking
Austin’s entire campus will be pedestrian-only for the entire event, and both entrances to the school will be closed. Please park and walk to campus. Suggested parking locations include Holly Bank Circle, Dunwoody Knoll Drive, Wynterhall Swim & Tennis, or at Dunwoody Village. If you have a permit for handicap parking, please email dunwoodydash@email.com
DO NOT PARK on Wyntercreek Drive (on the 5K route)
DO NOT PARK at Wildcat Park, the old Austin site (lot closed for the Fun Run/Walk route)
Parking may be challenging, so please allow extra time to get to the event.
Attire
Wear your 2025 Dunwoody Dash shirt and comfortable clothing to run and play. Check the Weather HERE
5K Route
The 5K starts at 8:00 am near the traffic light at the Austin/Dunwoody Nature Center entrance. The course will be well-marked and participants will be escorted by Dunwoody Police. A water station will be available near the 2-mile marker. The Finish Line is in the bus lane. (map below)
Fun Run / Walk Route
The Fun Run/Walk route is approximately 1 mile and starts near the traffic light at the Austin/Dunwoody Nature Center entrance. The route takes participants to Wildcat Park, back down Roberts through the start line and into Austin's parking lot. The Finish Line is in the bus lane. (map below)
Food & Beverage Options
Food and beverages will be available for purchase at the event near the festival area in the bus lane.

Restrooms
The school will be closed during the event. Restrooms are available at a multi-stall trailer in the bus lane behind the gym, or at the Dunwoody Nature Center.
Help During the Event
Please find a volunteer if you need any help or have questions. Minor First Aid is available near the Finish Line.
