RJR Spring Series

Rapides Junior Runners Spring Series provides 4 races late February through April for kids aged 3 to junior high.  Various distances are run, depending on the child's age:  3-5 runs 1/2 mile; 6-11 runs 1 mile; 12-14 will run 2 miles.  For the spring series, all junior high students will run as individuals as there will be no team competitions.  All races are chip timed.  The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville, LA 71360.  

2024 Spring Series Race Dates:  

               Start times are approximate:  2 Mile at 8:00, 1/2 mile at 8:30, 1 mile at 8:45.  We start the races as close to this time as possible. 

February 24, 2024 - Race 1

March 9, 2024 - Race 2

March 23, 2024 - Race 3

April 6, 2024 - Race 4

Upon every individual registration, each participant will receive a chipped bib and a participation prize (to be determined). 

Please keep the same bib for all 4 races. If you happen to misplace or forget your child's bib number, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10.                                              

Every finisher will receive a finish medal at the finish line each race. 

Awards will be presented following the conclusion of the 1 mile race and will include male and female top three for each age: male and female - 6 years; male and female - 7 years; male and female - 8 years; male and female - 9 years; male and female - 10 years; male and female - 11 years; male and female -12 years; male and female - 13 years.
