This year, I’m running in the Broad Street Run to support the Fairmount Park Conservancy, an organization committed to making sure everyone has access to the beauty and benefits of nature. Last year, I watched the run to cheer on a friend, and I left feeling so inspired that I decided to start my own running journey. What began with not being able to run a full mile has now led me to sign up for both the Broad Street Run in May and a half marathon this March. Since then, I’ve found so much joy in running outdoors, especially in places where I feel safe and connected to nature.
Fairmount Park Conservancy brings parks to life. They work with the City of Philadelphia and its communities to steward our parks, nurture our shared environment, and promote public health and cultural resources. By supporting the Conservancy, I’m helping to preserve and enhance these vital public spaces, ensuring more people can experience the physical and mental benefits of running—or simply enjoying nature—in a safe, welcoming environment.
My goal is to raise $500 for the Fairmount Park Conservancy, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer. Your donation will directly help improve and protect these green spaces for everyone to enjoy. Every little bit counts, and together we can make a lasting impact!
